The Ring of Manors
Ukmerge district is rich in manors. There are as many as 6 renovated and adapted, open for tourists: Uzugiris manor (otherwise known as the summer residence of President Antanas Smetona’s family), Siesikai Castle, Vaitkuskis, Taujenai, Lyduoke and Sventupe manors. Since the manors are arranged in a circle on the map, it was decided to connect them to the Ukmerge manor ring route. Each manor has its own history, is surrounded by stories that are really worth hearing.

Anyksciai region
Nature and history have accumulated so many impressive resources here that a small patch of the state has become a park as far as the eye can see, and it contains everything that makes Lithuania attractive. The only city in Lithuania through which trains still run on tracks laid in the 19th century.
The river Sventoji flowing through the Anyksciai region opens up the most impressive outcrops. Rubiniai lake – one of the largest lakes in the country, has 16 islands and creates a unique labyrinth of wild nature, conveniently viewed from above.
Puntukas stone – has been lying in the Anyksciai pinewood for thousands of years. The world’s only testament to the nation is engraved in it. It was written by two Lithuanian pilots after flying across the Atlantic Ocean. Anyksciai is the only city in Lithuania through which trains still run on the narrow-gauge railway on the tracks that were built here in the 19th century. Anysciai is also the capital of the best-known national drink – Lithuanian wine made from the harvest of local orchards.

Labanoras and Pabrade regions
Labanoras – it is the denseness of the forest and the blue eyes of the lakes, it is mythological places surrounded by legends and cozy old farmhouses, it is wild nature and deep cultural traditions. The forest stretching through several districts of Aukstaitija is the largest forested area in Lithuania with the densest network of lakes in Lithuania. Pine forests grow here, which are famous even outside the borders of Lithuania. The evergreen Labanor pines were valued as early as the time of Tsar Peter I and were used for the production of ship masts.
Pabrade sand hills, forests and wild nature attract enduro lovers at any possible occasion. There will be no indifferent to this special region.
